The Volvo EX30 launched in June 2023 as Volvo's smallest and most affordable electric SUV, quickly becoming one of Europe's best-selling electric cars in 2024. I was tasked with creating the landing and launch page that would introduce this groundbreaking vehicle while staying true to Volvo's premium brand and the car's innovative spirit.

Working with the Volvo Cars digital team, I focused on creating a page that would feel as forward-thinking and accessible as the EX30 itself—breaking away from traditional automotive marketing while maintaining Volvo's trusted brand identity.
Brand & Car Connection
I studied the EX30's design language, clean lines, compact proportions, and sustainable materials - to mirror these qualities in the web experience. The car's personality needed to shine through: young, electric, and unmistakably Volvo.
Visual Strategy
I designed around the car's key strengths: its compact size, impressive range, and fast charging. The layout emphasized the EX30's modern, approachable character while using Volvo's established design system for trust and recognition.
User Experience Focus
The page needed to work for two audiences: current Volvo owners considering electric, and new customers attracted by the lower price point. I created clear paths for both groups:
Simple, scannable information hierarchy for specs and features
Interactive elements that let users explore the car's technology
Clear calls-to-action for test drives and reservations
Mobile-first design for younger, tech-savvy audiences
Testing & Refinement
I worked closely with the marketing team to test different approaches to presenting electric vehicle benefits, ensuring the messaging felt exciting rather than technical or overwhelming.
